RIDE MODES

The real adventure begins when you pull out the gate. With a variety of Ride Modes and Engine Map selections, you can confidently handle any condition. Once activated, the ride-by-wire system adjusts the throttle response and peak power output to suit various conditions. The standard ride modes include RAIN, STREET, SPORT, OFFROAD, and CUSTOM. KTM RACE ON

The KTM 1390 SUPER ADVENTURE R is fitted with a state-of-the-art keyless-go system with a unique Anti Relay Attack (ARA) system. Not only does this reduce the risk of misuse of the keyless system by preventing ignition, but it also provides the power to unlock the fuel cap and even the Keyless Luggage Lock for the optional KTM TOURING LUGGAGE set. SUSPENSION

The KTM 1390 SUPER ADVENTURE R is fitted with high-performance WP XPLOR suspension, which was co-developed with test rider Quinn Cody at the helm. A WP XPLOR fork with 48 mm inner tubes takes care of business at the front and has been derived from the successful KTM off-road models and features split fork technology. At the rear, is a high-end PDS monoshock, which is fully adjustable in spring preload with an external handwheel, rebound, and compression, including high and low-speed compression damping.

RALLY MODE

As the name suggests, RALLY MODE provides maximum power with slip adjustment. This means riders can choose the level of traction control intervention and the throttle response, with up to 9 levels of slip adjustment. RALLY MODE also allows riders to hoist the front wheel to clear obstacles, while Offroad ABS is activated, allowing the rear to be locked up in tight corners. RALLY MODE is available as an optional extra.

ENGINE

The 1390 SUPER ADVENTURE range showcases a significantly reworked engine with a displacement increase from 1301 to 1350cc and cutting-edge Camshift technology. This results in a power output of 173 hp and 145 Nm of torque, all while meeting the latest EURO 5+ homologation standards, with valve clearance checks only necessary after 60,000 km.

CAMSHIFT TECHNOLOGY

A big part of the KTM 1390 SUPER ADVENTURE range punch comes from all-new Camshift technology. This provides variable-valve timing with 2 different cam profiles, making for an optimized power band with higher torque and peak performance. In short, it works like this - in the lower rev range, the inlet cams have a reduced valve timing and lift, meaning the inlet valves are open for a shorter time. At higher revs, the inlet cams shift sideways, with longer valve openings and a higher valve lift for more gas flow - and of course, more go!

WHEELS & TIRES

Sporting a proper offroad-ready wheel and tire combo, with a 90/90-21 upfront and a 150/70-18 on the rear wrapped in new BRIDGESTONE AT 41 tires. Not only do these tires look the part, they also perform the way you'd expect, with improved offroad handling and stability when charging over the rough stuff.

BRAKES

The KTM 1390 SUPER ADVENTURE R has added more stopping power to its arsenal, thanks to all-new Brembo front master cylinders. This makes for improved brake performance and a sharper 'bite' when grabbing a handful of front stoppers.

BODYWORK

Purposefully designed to feel more compact yet look more muscular, the KTM 1390 SUPER ADVENTURE range boasts a distinctive new look. New front-end bodywork, an LED headlight unit, and tank spoilers all combine to provide important ergonomic functionality and nail that signature KTM Adventure style.

LED HEADLIGHT

Turning night to day, an all-new LED headlight unit takes center position on the KTM 1390 SUPER ADVENTURE range. Not only does this provide the SUPER ADVENTURE with a fresh signature stare, but it also illuminates the road ahead with new cornering lights lighting up the bends with a broader illumination.

ADJUSTABILITY

The KTM 1390 SUPER ADVENTURE R features multi-adjustable touchpoints, like the brake and clutch levers, shift lever, handlebar position, and windshield, making finding the perfect position for hours in the saddle a breeze.

STEERING DAMPER

Heading off the beaten track often leads to encountering some pretty rough roads. Thankfully, things are kept in check by a WP steering damper as standard. Linked between the frame and the triple clamp, the steering damper ensures things are kept tidy when the road isn't.

COOLING

Thanks to new, more efficient radiator fans with wings, cooling is dramatically improved on this latest generation KTM 1390 SUPER ADVENTURE range. A new, more robust valve seat material and new alloy materials help increase thermal conductivity, while lateral air outlets guide hot air away from the rider's knees.

FOOTPEGS

The footrest mounting position is lowered by 8 mm to improve the rider's comfort thanks to a wider knee angle, while being moved 10 mm outwards for better contact and feel when standing on the pegs.

HANDLEBAR

Wider, adjustable, and made of high-strength tapered aluminum, these new handlebars are perfectly suited to a reworked upper triple clamp made of lightweight forged aluminum. Beside improved cable guides, the rubber-dampened handlebar mount improves rider comfort over all terrain types, with newly designed handguards providing improved stiffness for improved protection.
