Exterior

A unique exterior is crafted through an authentic blend of classic and modern design. The lightweight and narrow body tightly wraps around the chassis, ensuring seamless rider movement, while the bike’s dark demeanor, rugged tires, and protective elements like the skid plate and guards give the Svartpilen 401 an unmistakable character.

Lights

New front and rear LED lights provide improved illumination, especially in low-light conditions. Utilizing the latest LED technology for enhanced lighting and visibility, riding in urban settings is safe for both the rider and other road users. The LED positioning ring on the front light serves as a daytime running light and gives the Svartpilen a distinctive premium look.

Handlebars

Off-road-style handlebars and risers are paired with stylish forged aluminum triple clamps. Adding to the minimalist look of the authentic design, the handlebar-mounted dashboard is a large

5-inch TFT display that shows essential information such as speed, fuel level, riding mode, and selected gear.

Tank

The perfectly shaped 13-liter fuel tank features a standard luggage rack, allowing riders to conveniently carry their belongings for added practicality. Providing a rugged urban explorer look, the tank cap seamlessly blends with the side panels to ensure full freedom of movement on the bike. The tank is completed with an aluminum filler cap featuring the Husqvarna Motorcycles logo.

Seat

The low-profile seat ensures accessibility at a height of 820 mm and blends perfectly into the overall design. It is covered with a mix of high-quality materials for excellent comfort and durability.

A grab handle for the rear seat is also included as standard.

Single-Cylinder

The Svartpilen 401 is powered by a new single-cylinder engine with a larger displacement and reduced weight compared to the previous generation.

Extremely compact, the modern engine contributes to improved handling characteristics and delivers smooth, controlled power.

Easy Shift

Easy Shift ensures seamless gear changes. As soon as the EMS registers movement of the gear lever, it instantly limits power, providing smooth gear shifts. For simplified riding, no clutch is needed when shifting gears on the Svartpilen 401.

Brakes

The Svartpilen 401 is equipped with ByBre hydraulic brake calipers, paired with a 320 mm front disc and a 240 mm rear disc.

The modern Bosch ABS system, sensitive to lean angles, ensures the highest level of safety in various conditions and includes a Supermoto mode that disables ABS on the rear wheel. All components are manufactured to the highest standards to provide controlled and confidence-inspiring braking in any situation.

Riding Modes

The Svartpilen 401 is equipped with several electronic rider aids to enhance usability. Riding modes offer two power settings—Street and Rain. Street mode is enabled by default, while

Rain can be activated in adverse weather conditions for a less aggressive throttle response. Additionally, the speed limiter function allows riders to set a cruising speed that won’t be exceeded even with the throttle fully open.

Frame

The new steel trellis frame is fundamental to the Svartpilen 401’s character and agility.

Hydroformed tubes are precisely welded together to create a frame that is not only strong but also lightweight. This assembly process ensures agile handling and detailed feedback to the rider.

Specific flexibility characteristics are engineered into the frame, and combined with the WP suspension, the Svartpilen 401 delivers a comfortable ride.

Suspension

The WP suspension on the Svartpilen 401 is crafted with the highest level of quality and precision. Up front, open-cartridge WP APEX forks with adjustable compression and rebound damping have a 43 mm diameter for dynamic handling and offer 150 mm of travel. At the rear, the shock absorber provides the same travel, with its progressive spring design easily absorbing bumps of any size.

The shock features adjustable preload and rebound damping settings and is directly connected to the swingarm for an enhanced level of rider feedback.

Ergonomics

Updated ergonomics provide an improved riding experience. A slightly longer wheelbase enhances stability without compromising agility, while a 15 mm lower seat height positions the rider closer to the center of gravity. Combined with an adjusted triple clamp offset, all riders benefit from the confident riding position created.

Wheels and Tires

17-inch spoked wheels are a highlight of the Svartpilen 401’s design.

Offering style, strength, and stability, the wheels have proven durable and reliable. They are fitted with Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tires, which provide exceptional grip and predictability across a wide range of surfaces.

Swingarm

A new cast aluminum swingarm is designed to accommodate the offset WP shock absorber. Offering carefully calculated rigidity for improved stability and predictable handling, the swingarm’s curvature not only creates a modern look but also provides additional space for the new muffler.

Connectivity

With a standard connectivity module, the Svartpilen 401 offers riders a range of features to enhance the riding experience. Via a smartphone connected through Bluetooth, riders can answer incoming calls, play music, and follow turn-by-turn navigation instructions on the dashboard using the Ride Husqvarna Motorcycles app.

RCM (Remote Control Mode) allows the rider to control the app using handlebar buttons, laying the foundation for future features.

TFT Dashboard

The new advanced 5-inch TFT panel with a glass screen displays essential information for riders. Speed, fuel level, and selected gear are clearly shown and visible at a glance. This is controlled by new illuminated switch cubes on the left handlebar end.

Theft Protection

The Svartpilen 401 features a standard immobilizer for theft protection.

Service

The new engine layout improves performance, reliability, and serviceability. All filters are now conveniently located on one side of the engine, speeding up and simplifying routine maintenance. Thanks to advanced engineering techniques used in the engine assembly, oil, oil filter, and air filter now only need replacement every 10,000 kilometers after the initial oil change at 1,000 kilometers.
