PIT BIKE JHL LK150 19/16 (ZS1P60YMJ)

PIT BIKE JHL LK150 19/16 (ZS1P60YMJ)  – large-wheel pit bike for active off-road riding and further progression

JHL LK150 19/16 — the taller and more capable version of the LK150 family, designed for teenagers, taller riders and those who have outgrown the compact 17/14 format. The 19" front and 16" rear wheels roll over holes, rocks and roots more easily, provide greater stability at speed and give the motorcycle a feel closer to full-size off-road machinery. A 140.4 cm³ Zongshen W140 (ZS1P60YMJ) engine, Nibbi PE22 Sport carburettor, MNT suspension and hydraulic twin-piston brakes provide a serious technical foundation for training and active off-road riding.

Why choose the JHL LK150 19/16

Large 19/16 wheels

The defining feature of this version is its 19" front and 16" rear wheel combination. The larger diameter helps the bike roll over holes, roots, rocks and other obstacles more easily, making the JHL LK150 19/16 more confident on rough and demanding terrain.

Greater high-speed stability

The larger wheels make the motorcycle more stable on straight sections and less sensitive to smaller bumps. On fast dirt roads and longer training tracks, the 19/16 version feels calmer and more planted.

Better obstacle rollover

The larger front wheel meets obstacles at a more favourable angle. Where a smaller wheel can drop more deeply into a hole or strike a root, the 19-inch wheel rolls over more smoothly and helps the rider maintain the intended line.

A more full-size motorcycle feel

In terms of riding position and behaviour, the 19/16 version feels noticeably closer to a small enduro or motocross motorcycle than to a compact pit bike. It is an excellent option for riders who have already mastered the basics or physically outgrown a 17/14 machine.

High-grade components

The JHL LK150 stands apart from many entry-level pit bikes through its component selection. It uses a Zongshen engine, Nibbi carburettor, MNT suspension, aluminium rims and triple clamps, reinforced hubs, braided brake lines and folding levers. The bike is designed from the outset with durability, handling and active use in mind.

No compromise on key components

Special attention is given to the parts that have the greatest influence on how a pit bike rides: suspension, brakes, wheels and controls. An adjustable MNT rear shock, twin-piston brakes, braided hoses, reinforced hubs and aluminium chassis components are already fitted from the factory.

Zongshen W140 (ZS1P60YMJ)

The single-cylinder four-stroke Zongshen W140 has an actual displacement of 140.4 cm³. It is a widely used and well-understood pit-bike engine platform with simple construction, good serviceability and a broad range of replacement and performance parts.

13 hp for active off-road riding

The JHL LK150 is rated at 13 hp at 8,000 rpm. This provides enough performance for energetic dirt riding, climbs, training tracks and progressively faster riding as the rider develops.

Smooth and predictable power delivery

Linear throttle response helps the rider control rear-wheel traction on loose or slippery surfaces. The engine is friendly enough for learning while still providing enough performance for more demanding riding.

9.5 Nm at 6,000 rpm

Maximum torque is 9.5 Nm at 6,000 rpm. Strong mid-range response is useful on dirt, on climbs and in sections where usable torque matters more than constantly running the engine at maximum revs.

Nibbi PE22 Sport carburettor

Nibbi is a recognised manufacturer of fuel-system components for pit bikes and off-road motorcycles. The PE22 Sport is straightforward to tune and service and is well matched to the character of the W140 engine.

4-speed manual transmission

The N-1-2-3-4 manual gearbox provides full control over speed and torque. It teaches riding skills that transfer naturally to larger motocross and enduro motorcycles.

Manual multi-plate clutch

The manual wet multi-plate clutch allows precise control of power delivery on climbs, slow technical sections and difficult terrain.

Electric start + kick start

Electric starting provides everyday convenience, while the kick starter remains a reliable backup when riding away from the workshop or training base.

MNT front suspension

The 770 mm inverted MNT front fork offers 160 mm of travel and is designed for active dirt riding. Its generous travel helps maintain control over holes, roots and broken terrain.

Adjustable MNT rear shock

The hydraulic rear monoshock offers 60 mm of shock travel and spring preload / stiffness adjustment, allowing the suspension to be adapted to rider weight and riding conditions.

Twin-piston hydraulic brakes

Disc brakes are fitted front and rear. Twin-piston calipers and braided brake lines provide confident stopping power and precise brake feel.

Aluminium spoked rims

Lightweight aluminium rims help reduce unsprung mass and allow the suspension to respond more quickly to rough terrain.

Reinforced wheel hubs

The reinforced hubs are designed to withstand the higher loads created by dirt riding, jumps and rough terrain.

Yuanxing 19/16 off-road tyres

The front tyre is 70/100-19 and the rear is 90/100-16. The larger wheel combination improves obstacle clearance and stability on uneven terrain.

Rim locks

Rim locks help prevent the tyre from rotating on the rim when lower tyre pressures are used — an important feature for serious off-road riding.

Reinforced steel frame

The frame is engineered for off-road loads and combines the required strength with predictable geometry. The larger wheels further improve stability on fast and rough sections.

Steel rear swingarm

The steel swingarm is built for hard suspension use and is well suited to a training motorcycle where strength and resistance to impact loads are especially important.

Aluminium triple clamp

The aluminium triple clamp provides good front-end rigidity and is another indication of the LK150's more serious specification.

28/22 handlebar

The tapered 28/22 handlebar provides comfortable control while standing and suits the more full-size riding position of the 19/16 version.

Folding levers

The folding design helps reduce the risk of lever damage in a fall and is well suited to active off-road use.

Engine protection

The lower engine guard helps protect the crankcase from rocks, roots and other obstacles encountered on rough terrain.

Chain guide

The chain guide helps keep the chain correctly positioned during intensive suspension movement and reduces the risk of derailment.

Approx. 70 kg weight

Despite the larger 19/16 wheels, the motorcycle remains relatively light. This combines the stability of larger wheels with the manageable character of a true pit bike.

LED headlight

The LED front light improves visibility during training in low-light conditions and on forest trails.

Why choose the JHL LK150 19/16 version

For taller riders

The 19/16 version is better suited to teenagers and riders who find a compact 17/14 pit bike too low or cramped. The larger wheels create a more natural riding position for taller riders.

Rolls over rough terrain more easily

The larger wheel diameter reduces the effect of holes, roots and rocks on the bike's trajectory, making 19/16 especially suitable for rough natural off-road routes.

Greater stability

Larger wheels generate a stronger gyroscopic effect. At speed, the motorcycle tracks more calmly and requires fewer constant steering corrections.

Closer to a full-size enduro bike

The 19/16 version sits between a classic compact pit bike and a small full-size off-road motorcycle in terms of riding feel. It can be an excellent stepping stone before moving to 21/18 wheels.

More room to progress

For riders already confident on a smaller pit bike, the 19/16 version allows progression to faster and more difficult routes while retaining the LK150's compact size and straightforward maintenance.

Zongshen W140 tuning potential

Popular tuning platform

The Zongshen W140 / ZS1P60YMJ belongs to a widely used family of horizontal pit-bike engines, which means a broad range of replacement and performance components is available.

Wide range of performance parts

Cylinder and piston kits, carburettors, intake systems, exhaust systems, performance camshafts, cylinder heads and other components are available to change the engine's performance characteristics.

Standard 140.4 cm³ displacement

The standard configuration is well balanced for training and active off-road riding. Even without modifications, the engine provides enough performance for most beginner and developing riders.

Big Bore approximately 160–170 cm³

The platform can be developed using larger cylinder and piston assemblies. Depending on the selected kit and component compatibility, configurations of approximately 160–170 cm³ are possible.

Advanced builds up to around 190 cm³

More serious projects can take the engine towards approximately 190 cm³. Such builds require careful matching of the cylinder, piston, crankshaft, cylinder head, fuel system, exhaust and other components.

The 19/16 chassis suits future upgrades

The larger wheels and stable chassis work particularly well with future engine upgrades. As performance increases, the 19/16 version can make better use of additional power on faster and more open tracks.

Who is the JHL LK150 19/16 for?

Teenagers and taller riders

The 19/16 wheel combination makes the motorcycle more suitable for riders who find the compact 17/14 version too small in terms of seating position and overall feel.

Riders with basic experience

This model is especially suitable for riders who have already mastered the basics of pit-bike riding and now want greater stability, obstacle capability and off-road performance.

Dirt tracks

Large wheels, capable suspension and strong brakes allow the bike to handle faster dirt tracks and broken terrain with greater confidence.

Forest and natural terrain

The 19-inch front wheel deals with roots, holes and rocks more effectively, while the larger rear wheel helps maintain traction and stability on difficult terrain.

Stepping up to full-size motorcycles

In both riding position and behaviour, the 19/16 setup is noticeably closer to larger enduro motorcycles, making it a useful intermediate step before moving to 21/18 wheels.
